Mergers
Brief
To manage all Human Resources aspects of the merger of four companies
in the retail sector and to support the development of a common
culture in the new organisation.
Result
The operation, spanning a six month period, had the following outcomes;
- the merger was successfully completed in line with the ‘best
practice’ objectives laid down by the parent company.
- a comprehensive Human Resources strategy was developed to reflect
the ethos of the new organisation.
- following the implementation of a number of new systems arising
from the HR strategy, staff attitude surveys reported positive
findings for both the process of the merger and identification
with the new company.
